Utah Vaccines for Adults (VFA) Program
The purpose of the Utah Vaccines for Adult (VFA) Program is to improve the delivery of viral hepatitis prevention services in health-care settings and public health programs that serve adults at risk for viral hepatitis. The primary goals are to:
Increase
the number of doses of hepatitis B-containing vaccine purchased by immunization program grantees;Reduce
the incidence of acute hepatitis B among adults in the United States; andImprove
overall vaccination coverage among adults.Utah VFA vaccines under this Initiative are available only to people who meet the following conditions:
- Individuals who are 19 years of age and older; and
- who have no insurance.
- COVID-19 vaccines may be available for under-insured individuals who seek vaccination at select Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC)/Rural Health Centers (RHC) locations or their Local Health Department.
The vaccines are free, but there may be an administration fee charged to give the vaccines.
The maximum fee is $20.72 per dose.
