UHIN cHIE

The Utah Health Information Network (UHIN) Clinical Health Information Exchange (cHIE) is a non-profit community-based clearinghouse and health information exchange.

cHIE allows healthcare providers the opportunity to send and receive health information electronically. To participate in cHIE providers need to become a member of cHIE. As well, their EHR vendor must connect to cHIE and develop health information interfaces that meet UHIN standards.

Comagine Health

Comagine Health operates the Health Information Technology Regional Extension Center (REC) for Utah, New Mexico and Nevada, assisting providers in selecting and effectively using electronic health records to improve care.

The UDOH and USIIS works with Comagine Health to ensure Meaningful Use objectives and Utah’s public health agency capabilities are consistently understood and communicated to eligible professionals.
